    Start standing with feet together. Take one very long step forward and sink into the lunge position. Then reach for the sky with the hand opposite of the forward leg. Hold position for one deep belly breath. Lean forward and stand up by bringing the rear foot forward to join the front foot. Take that same foot that just came forward and take one very long step forward and repeat.

    In lunge position, keep forward thigh horizontal and shin vertical. Keep rear knee off the floor. The reaching arm will cause the tissues down that side of the body to stretch more deeply.
