LEG POSITION

Strong Points

  • legs are streaming (hidden) behind torso
  • legs remain fairly compact
  • Toes seem pointed properly

 

Weak Points

  • Both legs, not maintaining distinct, stable position between arm switches

  • See Kick recommendations which will affect leg position

 

KICK

Strong Points

  • in general there is minimal movement
  • kick is approximate timed to arm switch

 

Weak Points

  • lower leg loses position between 2B kick
  • kick is not consistently single leg, some double leg kicking ocurrs

 

Improvement Opportunities

  • learn the counter-balanced foot position (CBF)
  • at this tempo, delay kick slightly to coincide with extension
  • ‘press’ the foot proportional to rate of torso turning

Study CBF Introduction and 2BK Introduction.  First, take some weeks to just work on finding CBF for each foot, holding that stable between each arm switch. Then work on adjusting the timing of the kick from that stable, controlled position.
