Practice Set for Catch and Hold
Instructions
Choose 2 or 3 of the cues above to work with today.
For each cue, work through these activities, as far as you can go successfully. Take one cue and work through the list. Then take the next cue and work through the list again, and so on.
Do one set of repeats for the left side and then one set for the right side.
Practice Set
- 4x 1 Arm Drill for Catch for 6 seconds (time of comfortable breath hold)
- 4x Balance Position To Streamline (for Catch and Extending Lead Arm)
- 4x Streamline Switch with pauses
- 4x Streamline Switch without pauses
- 4x Streamline Switch with gradually faster switches
- 6x whole strokes holding the same cue (no breathing)
- 4x whole strokes, Interrupted Breathing, then 4x whole strokes
